Ingredients for Fresh Tomato Sauce

4 medium to large tomatoes, peeled, seeded, and diced
1 large garlic clove, minced (2 teaspoons)
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil, or 2 teaspoons dried
1/8 cup chopped oregano, or 1 teaspoon dried
1/2 teaspoon salt
Ground pepper to taste
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

Instructions

Combine tomatoes, garlic, basil, oregano, salt, pepper, and olive oil.

Ingredients for Ground Beef

1 pound ground beef
2 large garlic cloves, minced
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Mix ground beef, garlic, salt, and pepper. Cook over medium heat until browned.

Zucchini Spaghetti Ingredients

2 large zucchini

Instructions

Using a noodle cutter, make the zucchini noodles. Cook for 5 minutes in boiling salted water. Drain the water.
Add the ground beef and the fresh tomato sauce.  Serve with buttered bread.

This is my wife's original recipe. We had it today for lunch, and I liked it so much, asked her to share the recipe. Am repeating it here with photo and separate from the recipe thread, in order to share with others.

Our butcher grinds the beef, allows the customer to choose the preferred cut. The wife chose patinho. (Brazilians cut the beef differently, so don't ask me what it is in English.) In the photo is the tad that was left over from lunch. I forgot to shoot a photo of the plate.
