“My dear children, I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate who pleads our case before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous.”
The prophet called God’s people to repentance. He condemned their pride, vv. 8-9, 15-16. God wanted them to be near him, but their disobedience prevented it.
Do we open the doors of the kingdom to those on the outside? Or do we keep people from entering by taking away the “key of knowledge”? Lk 11.52.
“Yes, Lord, I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God who comes into the world.”
